Planes of WRAM & Toledo 2012

A Simjet Nexus turbine pushes Wojtek Iwanczyk’s Raptor (above left). The neat finish is automotive paint. The 212-inch MiniMoa(above right) is the work of Michael Fusco. It gets towed aloft by the big Cubbehind it. Aislinn O’Brien

built this Custom Cub(below left) from spare parts. At 26 inches it uses a GWS IPS 280 motor. Friends Evan Miller (12) and Jordan Behrle (13) bought this 60-year-old Comet P-40 kit (below right) and built it together in a month.

There’s some interesting history behind the OQ-19D target drone (above left) displayed at the WRAM Show. Here’s a look at the receiver and battery in it (above right). Art Muglie and Dino DiGiorgio Sr. enlarged this 17-foot B-25

(below left) from Ziroli plans and built it. Lucas Vallejo and Narciso Pichardo recently restored it. At 103-inch span, Michael Plot’s beautifully done DHC 1 Chipmunk(below right) flies with a Lazer 1.8 4-cylinder engine.
