Harv Erdman was an ambas- sador for music in the schools. He developed a rapport with his students and the community. His community relation skills opened the way for parental support and involvement. Parents understood the power of a music education and desired it for their children. Cal, Bob and Richard say, “Thank you, Harv.” The life of Harv Erd- man illustrates many qualities worth our thought when asking the question: how can I achieve the support and involvement of parents and the community?
