Labour force – Young, educated and skilled The population of Drogheda has experienced a rapid growth in recent years to reach 29,000 people. Many people have moved to Drogheda to take advantage of its easy access to the facilities of Dublin city while benefiting from much lower housing costs.
Drogheda is within commuting distance of Dublin; consequently, there is a growing pool of highly skilled workers based in the town and travelling to work in Dublin and Dundalk. Many of
