Things To Do in Keswick...

Fitz Park Play Area

AWARD WINNING PLAY AREA

‘We want a play area that puts smiles on faces’ was the slogan for the new Fitz Park Play Area that grew from a little idea into an amazing new attraction.

Lots of local fundraising and a massive amount of passion led to this exciting development opening in March 2010 and it soon won an Action for Market Towns Award.

The new play area is safe and designed to offer something for all ages. As many parents will agree, the tricky bit is persuading the children it is time to go home!

KESWICK MUSEUM AND ART GALLERY

Next to the Fitz Park Play Area is the town’s museum and art gallery. Here you can play a giant xylophone made from Skiddaw Slate, touch stuffed animals, try on Victorian costumes and discover secret drawers filled with birds eggs.

KESWICK LEISURE POOL

When it is wet outside you might as well be wet inside! Keswick has a leisure pool where the whole family can have fun. A giant slide leads to a splash pool and the big pool is more like the sea with the water gradually going from a couple of centimetres deep to a few feet. It’s ideal for children of any age as the babies can splash around in the shallows while the older ones enjoy the regular waves.
