water changes does the job this is not the answer so we at T.C. Koi are launching our new nitrate controller installed in a similar fashion to a dechlorinating carbon fi lter. The unit will effectively absorb the nitrate ions exchanging them for harmless chlorine ions, only the nitrate is removed. The fi lter is easily recharged with a saline solution (salt) a process that can be repeated over 1000 times. The advantages of low nitrate level have been well documented, livelier, healthier fi sh.
