I was still playing big records I loved and in my
own individual way too. I opened up with an edit
of Orbital’s ‘Chime’ with a huge three minute intro
and from the impact of the drop through to my last
record it was total magic, with edits of stuff like CLS’s
‘Can You Feel It’ causing mayhem.

“Being privileged enough to be a resident at Space
for ten years has thrown up so many experiences but
last year was my most memorable. Every Thursday, I
played on the terrace for one of house music’s true
legends, Danny Tenaglia, and in August I played
before Laurent Garnier at Carl Cox’s night and was so
full of adrenaline that I spent two hours after trying
to breath at normal speed! Then, at the closing party,
I warmed up for the DJ I have learned most from in
Space — Steve Lawler.”

“Space is a lot like the ’60s. There’s always some old “To be playing back-to-back with Sasha is obviously

to see Sasha raving away with [We Love promoter]

“The first time I ever played Space was one of the
main sets on the terrace. I was excited about the gig
for months but when it actually came down to the
crunch I was so nervous that I ended up sitting in the
toilet trying to rack my head about how I could get
out of it. At one point I was actually going to walk
off without telling anyone. I knew my DJ career was
over if I did, but I managed to pull myself together
and as soon as I hit ‘start’ on the decks I was fine — it
was one of the best sets of my life. That was the set
that sorted me out… the next season I was terrace
resident and mixed the ‘We Love…’ CD.”
