7Ti features a 25-ton, H- shaped steel machine base for absorbing cutting forces and drastically minimizing any machine vibra-

tion. Hardened, ground and lapped guideways enable rapid feeds up to 48 m/min. A two-pallet system has 19.7 × 19.7" (500 × 500-mm) pallet with a maximum loading capacity of 1102 lb (500 kg) on each pallet. Maximum part size is 24.8" (630 mm) in diameter and 19.7" in height. The automatic toolchanger holds up to 450 tools. Methods Machine Tools Inc. Ph: 978-443-5388 Web site: www.methodsmachine.com

Large Universal Machining Center G750 universal machining centers with working areas of 1000 × 1100 × 1170 mm (XYZ) can handle large workpieces for the moldmaking, aviation industry and general engineer- ing industries. Options for the G750 include a hydraulics-free pallet changer and a variety of spindle options including 340 and 575 N•m (40 % ED) with a toolholder type HSK-A100. The tool magazine con- tains 60 tools that can be extended to

212 tools with an additional magazine. In the milling/turning version with HSK-T100 interface, the motor spindle delivers 306 N•m and can be used for turning operations. The swivel rotary table offers 225° of rotation in the A axis, and continu- ous 360° in B axis. Therefore it is possible to completely invert the table for upside-down machining while chips simply free-fall away from the part. GROB Systems Inc. Ph: 419-358-9015 Web site: www.grobgroup.com

wide variety of applications. Working range is up to 33.07" (840-mm) diameter and 19.69" (500-mm) height and weighing 2205 lb (1000 kg) can be handled with the NC swivel rotary table; with a rigid table up to 39.37 × 33.07 × 22.05" (1000 × 840 × 560 mm) and maximum weight of 6613 lb (3000 kg)

can be handled. Modular spindle systems include a 10,000- rpm, 82 N•m standard version. Production packages include internal coolant supply up to 1160 psi (bar) and space-saving chip conveyor. DMU 65 is available with Siemens 840D solu- tionline or Heidenhain TNC 640 CNCs with CELOS software. ATC can accommodate 30, 60, 90, 120, or 180 position tool magazine from a loading station located in the front area of the machine for operator convenience. DMG MORI

Double-Sided Shoulder Milling

VSM490 double-sided shoulder milling platform achieves true 90° shoulders and fl oors with superior surface fi nish. Applica- tions include precision parts for transportation, moldmaking, and general engineering. Aggressive feed rates and depths of cut to 15 mm with barely noticeable scallops or step down marks are possible. VSM490 is designed for low horsepower draw and free machining and features four cutting edges and multiple corner nose radii avail- able. Two insert geometries are available: MM (universal) for a range of work materials; and ML (light) with sharper cutting edges resulting in lower cutting forces for mild steels and stainless. VSM490 is available through NOVO, WIDIA’s digital process knowledge application. VSM490 Starter Kits in both met- ric and inch, including cutter bodies, end mills, and WIDIA Victory grade inserts covering a variety of applications are available by contacting your WIDIA distributor.
