Easy CNC with SINUMERIK Operate:
Part 3 — Applying 5-Axis in the Job Shops of Today The third part of the Easy CNC with SINUMERIK Operate webinar series is intended to show a user how to leverage 5-axis machining technologies in the demanding markets of the job shop. We will first look at the key functions within the Siemens control that aid in dramatically simplifying the tasks of seing up a 5-axis machine. Through leveraging such cycles like Align Edge and Align Plane, we can demonstrate how these functions will reduce setup time and increase productivity. Once the part has been setup, we will explore how to handle 5-axis (3+2) parts programming directly on the control. Webinar aendees will be able to see a basic part program created, simulated and run in auto mode. Aendees will have an excellent understanding of the entire process from setup through part production.
What you will learn: > Setup of 5-axis parts in jog mode > Key features at the work coordinate level that simplify working with 5-axis parts > 5-axis part program creation through ShopMill > Simulation of the created part for verification purposes > Review of the same part methodized in G-code with programGuide > Running the created part program in auto while demonstrating key features
