RAPID + TCT 2017 PREVIEW
3D-Printed Ceramics, Medical Applications Lithoz specializes in the development and production of materials and additive manufacturing systems for 3D printing high-performance ceramics and medical applications. Components produced with Lithoz’s LCM (lithography-based ceramic manufacturing) technology have the same material properties as conventionally manufactured components. They include biocompatible materials such as alumina and zirconia, which are suitable for the generation of permanent implants. Lithoz is also developing bioresorbable ceramics like tricalcium phosphate or hydroyappatite
as well as bioresorbable photopolymers. Those materials can be resorbed by the body and don’t require mechanical removal after the healing process. Lithoz also offers customer-specifi c development and new solutions for medical problems us-
ing the LCM-process. Lithoz GmbH

Dynamic Image Analyzer Microtrac SI is a dynamic image analyzer with laser diffraction that enables users to quickly characterize complicated wet samples by us- ing dynamic imaging, size, and shape analy- sis. Fifteen images per second are captured allowing users to get a complete picture of the sample being measured. Full frame camera ensures clear images and both high and low concentrations. Strobo- scopic LED lights provide superior image clarity. Microtrac SI features the ability to measure 24 sizes and shape parameters in measurement ranges of 1 to 2000 µm;
high-speed, high-resolution analysis; temperature range of 10 to 35° C. Microtrac

PEKK Expanded Applications
Kepstan PEKK is a member of the Poly Aryl Ether Ketone (PAEK) family, which has the uncommon make-up of being a copolymer that contains Terephtalic and Isophtalic moieties. The T/I ratio allows the strict control of thermal properties and crystallization kinetics of the resulting polymer. Kepstan PEKK comes in three series, each with a different T/I ratio as designed by Arkema to better fi t applica- tion requirements. Kepstan PEKK provides a unique combination of properties including high temperature resistance, high tensile and compression strengths/high
stiffness, and high chemical resistance in harsh conditions, among others. Arkema Inc.
