AFS NEWS AFS Launches Private “ My sponsored webinar

with Metal Casting Design & Purchasing exceeded all my expectations. I consider this program to be the single best lead generation investment I’ve made in the last 10 years.

David Weiss Vice President, Sales & Engineering Eck Industries Inc.

Professional Network In April AFS launched

its new private social net- work, CastingConnection, to provide a venue for all AFS individual members and specifi c membership groups to drive collabora- tion, ignite conversations and create an invaluable knowledge base that is accessible anytime, anywhere. CastingConnection off ers an open discussion forum with a document library, announcements and dedicated discus- sion forums for committees and special interest groups. It is a space where members can post questions, observations, announcements, links, etc., to engage with their peers in the metalcasting community. Activity on the network during the beta testing phase,

in which real AFS members tried out CastingConnection, proved members saw value in the platform. In just a month, thoughtful discussions were posted on a variety of topics, from broad industry trends to questions on specifi c puzzles or barriers occurring in production. AFS members can access CastingConnection by logging

on to the AFS website with their username and password at www.afsinc.org. A link to CastingConnection will appear under their MyAccount tab on the homepage.
