More then 900,000 sq.ft. of exhibit space has been sold at the four metallurgy trade fairs to be held in Germany in June.

this is reflected at Newcast,” said Project Manager Janike Rotthoff. In 2015, about 370 exhibitors from 31 different countries will present their products and services on 71,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space in Halls 13 and 14. Te booking status corresponds almost precisely to the world market: 148 Chinese suppliers of castings will exhibit at Newcast 2015, demonstrat- ing that they are now some of the biggest players on the world market. Te second largest international contingent comes from Turkey (42 companies), while Japan is in third place with 30 exhibitors.

International market leaders such as

Georg Fischer Automotive, Class Guss, KSM Castings, Gießerei Heinisch and Finoba Automotive will be exhibiting. In addition to the castings presen-

tations in the exhibition halls, New- cast will also offer information about research findings. Te Newcast Forum will provide insights into the technical and scientific progress in metalcasting technology. Te Newcast Award will honor the most innovative and creative castings from the industry.

ecoMetals Campaign Reduction of energy consump-

tion and resource input is vital in the energy-intensive industries covered by GIFA, METEC, Termprocess and Newcast 2015. With the eco- Metals campaign, Messe Düsseldorf highlights exhibitors who strongly focus on energy saving in production, make efficient use of materials and resources, to a large extent use renew- able energy sources and optimize their technology to minimize energy consumption and resource input. Guided highlight tours (in Eng- lish and German) to the ecoMetals participants will be offered during the four trade fairs.

AFS-AFFILIATED BOOTHS TO FEATURE UNIQUE ROGRAMMING

AFS and its magazines will have a presence at GIFA and Newcast this year through three separate booths. In Hall 15, the Society will be exhibiting with its biggest booth at this show to date. The large booth will serve multiple purposes—provide technical resources for purchase, deliver short technical presentations for free, and serve as a hospitality spot for North American attendees. AFS will have various textbooks and reference materials on hand for purchase, as well as a comprehensive inventory of electronic articles and papers that can be purchased and downloaded at the booth. The short technical presentations

Past Casting of the Year winners will be on display to illustrate the capabilities and advance- ments of the North American metalcasting industry. AFS’s Modern Casting magazine also is presenting a booth in Hall 13 with its Global Casting Magazine partners Foundry Planet.com and the China Foundry Association. Here, the international digital magazine will host daily events honoring various countries featured in the publication.
