Finesse
Laser Quantum has released the next generation of the Finesse laser, which benefits from increased robustness. With a five year warranty, field replaceable diodes, user on- screen optimisation and remote connection, the latest members of the Finesse family will continue to drive innovative research. Efficient and compact, this laser is easily integrated into all commercially available Ti:Sapphire oscillator and amplifier systems and has a lifetime exceeding the industry standard. The diode has a lifetime greater than 40,000 hours in addition to having higher wall plug efficiency and minimal heat output than previous generations.

Excelitas has introduced digital pyrodetection technology in its new, low-power DigiPyro PYD 1500 series for battery-operated motion detection. The detectors improve detection range and sensitivity at 1.8V to address the growing demand for enhanced performance and functionality with reduced supply voltage requirements.
Designed for applications such as internet protocol cameras and wireless intrusion alarms, the PYD 1588 operates at 1.8V up to 3.3V with
MTCS-INT-AB5
Mazet has introduced the MTCS-INT-AB5 sensor board for the fully integrated MTCS-CDCAF sensor chip from the Jencolor product line. Mazet offers this sensor board as both an evaluation board for system and application tests, and as part of a development kit.
The board includes memory for saving calibration data and additional user data related to the application, as well as an I2C interface. It works well as an evaluation system for the MTCS-
an increased effective sensing range and faster activation. The new selectable band pass and pulse count functions enable fulfilment of specific customer design requirements.
DigiPyro PYD 1500 series detectors feature wake-up and sleep modes to promote power saving and extend service
life, making it suitable for prolonged battery- operated motion detection. Only upon detection of motion, per its programmed settings, the Low-Power DigiPyro signals the microcontroller to wake up.

CDCAF. Typical applications for the sensor board include measuring light colours for multispectral LED arrays and calibrating colour on monitors. It can also be used for photometric applications. The MTCS-INT-AB5 is also available as part
of a development kit for system and application tests. The sensor board is mounted in-housing and can be controlled via USB. It is easy to configure and calibrate using the PC supported test software.
