Analysis, test and measurement LW-10 wavelength meter

Resolution Spectra Systems has launched the LW-10: a compact, high-resolution laser wavelength meter for continuous wave and pulsed lasers. In a compact package, the LW-10 offers robust calibration over time with 20MHz resolution and 200MHz absolute accuracy, as well as multiple software interface capabilities. The LW-10 benefits from the advantages of SWIFTS technology. Optional calibration as a laser spectrum analyser is available with a spectral resolution up to 3GHz. This instrument is a tool for applications in the visible and near infrared range (700- 1,000nm) such as tuneable laser monitoring, laser stability control, frequency locking, atom cooling, atom trapping and spectroscopy. www.resolutionspectra.com

LumiCol 1900 colorimeter

Instrument Systems has introduced the LumiCol 1900, a high-speed 2-in-1 imaging colorimeter. It is especially designed for versatile test applications in display production lines, and combines the benefits of an RGB CMOS camera with those of the high accuracy CA-310 spot colorimeter from Konica Minolta. Using the colorimeter as reference for the camera, it enables fast and precise

Coherent Solutions has released IQFROG, an updated optical pulse analyser. IQFROG features improved software and new hardware architecture for increased robustness and stability. The new software is optimised to measure a wider range of pulse characteristics, including broad chirped pulses used for chirped pulse amplification (CPA). The multi-functional software controls the hardware, intensity and phase recovery. It also monitors the second harmonic spectrum and performs the FROG algorithm.

display area characterisations with respect to luminance, chromaticity, contrast, or uniformity. Moreover, it offers typical spot colorimeter functionality as flicker measurements or the adjustments of white balance and gamma. The new software LumiSuite is optimised for automated production processes or quality control, but is likewise suitable for R&D applications. www.instrumentsystems.com

The IQFROG hardware comes in two varieties:

IQFROG 1.5µm and IQFROG 1.0µm, each optimised for the specific wavelength ranges. Both versions come with 200ps of temporal scan range, allowing it to measure pulses as broad as 50ps.

It also comes with a connected optical input as a standard feature, eliminating the need to perform input beam alignment – the most time consuming process in the operation of many optical pulse analysers. The IQFROG is commercially available. www.coherent-solutions.com
