We were also attracted to the quality of homes at St James’ Gardens - and the layout of our house perfectly suits our needs.” Successful cycling and triathlon coach Phil (51) added: “When we were looking

Upstairs, the bedrooms are light and spacious and one of the west-facing bedrooms has made a perfect studio. “Another benefit of the house is the warmth. We previously lived in a draughty 1850s cottage. In comparison this house feels tropical!” Te area is just what the family was

“Our immediate relatives live in Ogmore-by-Sea, so we were initially looking for houses there,” said professional artist Carol (51). “But then we noticed the David Wilson Homes develop being built just along the coast in Wick. “We love the location here. Wick is

said Carol. “Our son Pete is a full-time road cyclist in top Under 23 and UCI races and hopes to compete for Wales in the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He spends much of his time in warmer European climates but when he’s home, the area in and around Wick is perfect for his training. “Phil and I are both self employed and work from home the majority of the time. I divide my time between painting for exhibitions and teaching, and Phil helps many athletes meet their personal goals whether they are competing in ‘one off’ challenges or at major championships. “However, when we do need to travel - perhaps when I’m tutoring on painting holidays in other parts of the UK, there is easy access to the M4 motorway. “Although Wiltshire is a very beautiful county, and treated us well for 30 years, we definitely felt it was time to move back to Wales. And David Wilson Homes made it very easy for us. Te team here has been incredibly helpful and friendly.” Set in the small village of Wick in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan, St James’ Gardens is an exclusive development of two, three, four and five bedroom homes - with impressive views of the surrounding area. Situated less than seven miles from both Cowbridge and Bridgend, and only eight miles from the M4, it’s the ideal location for any lifestyle.
