ONE WORLD ONE COMPANY Striving to be at the forefront
S&G recognise the importance of considering the environment at all stages of business planning, development, production and marketing. This is why we have worked hard towards gaining the qualifications we have been awarded.
STAT:
FSC & PEFC ACCREDITED
These include the ISO14001, FSC and PEFC accreditations and plan on continuous improvements over the coming years. We work tirelessly towards reducing our impact. In order to demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement, including the prevention of pollution, we set and review specific environmental objectives and targets against our environmental aspects. We also undertake an annual compliance review to ensure that we act in accordance with all relevant environmental legislation.
In our purpose built printing plant we have made vast changes to incorporate the eco-friendly standards, streamlining our printing processes and waste disposal in an effort to reduce our impact on the environment.
We are now able to help you reduce your carbon footprint. We use soya based inks, supply recycled PEFC and FSC certified papers, use recyclable
poly film and offer an eco friendly print laminate. As well as these direct influences on your print job it reduces the use of solvents and cut down our energy usage.
We are also now able to track your print job from the forest, through the pulp producer, paper mill, paper merchant, S&G to you the customer. We can do this when you choose an FSC or PEFC certified paper to print your job on.
S&G use one of the UK’s best hazardous waste management and disposal companies. J&G Environmental oversee the collection, disposal and recycling of our controlled waste. We have conserved the amount of energy that is used as far as is practical including the use of power factor correction equipment to maximise the incoming power supply and therefore not only resulting in a cost saving to the Company but also improving its energy efficiency.
S&G are members of the Climate Change Levy Scheme having successfully met targets of energy usage per metre of printed product. This allows us to retain membership for another two years. (Membership Number BPIF/00279/00001)
