Still selling steadily and a solid ‘series’ performer; new tweaks added at regular intervals Verdier’s Series Mini offers much more power but with the same wetted area as a Pogo 2 Initial run of 12 boats is for the 50th Anniversary Governor’s Cup in Newport Beach

It’s surely no surprise that at an ex-works price of US$38,000 FarEast sold 120 boats in the first 12 months of production. Now with ISAF One Design status, the 28R is a direct development of the company’s successful 18, 26 and 31ft models

Have they cracked the thousand yet… Yes, they have! (sorry, ‘pres’) Five examples sold of an extraordinary multi-user machine

The Farr 280 one-design built by Premier Composite Technologies in Dubai is a fast and also a technically interesting package with full ‘tweakability’ – Brian Thompson and Lloyd Thornburg are the latest recruits to the class

Funky and clever 24ft sportboat with a decent interior The cracking little Tour Voile tri is now a fast-growing class in its own right

The C&C30 OD is rolling. Combining the excitement of one-design racing with the magic of racing offshore – this boat does both. Great downwind speed, grand prix level competition, strict class rules to control cost. More than 30 boats now sold

Left: with plenty of boats sold and demand staying healthy, it’s fair to say that at this stage the C&C 30 is leading the battle of the new 30ft one-designs in the USA if not yet in Europe. The boat’s deep carbon fin fully retracts for towing and the bowsprit can also be removed. Buyers already enjoy good inshore racing but this boat also has a very welcome ability to take in the odd coastal course if and when the mood takes you…

Plenty of form stability plus a deep-draught carbon fin and heavy bulb combine to give this natural sibling of the successful MC38 tremendous power to make maximum use of the generous sailplan. Afloat and racing and proving to be very, very fast

Fast little sportboat originally designed as an ORC 26 The first sportboat designed specifically for a (semi) wing rig

In action on both the World Match Racing Tour and the M32 Series. Its lightweight carbon-fibre hull and two-piece mast make the durable M32 very easy to transport. Crewed by 4-5, this low-drag design uses just main and gennaker to achieve full performance

Brand new fully foiling M2 catamaran development for the Swiss lakes Plenty of fun and at a base price around US$99,500

The new Ker 33 seems to be every bit as good as the previous Ker IRC40 and Ker40+. With three double berths this pretty IRC/ORC design offers dual-purpose use while a two-part mast saves on transport. Four boats sold to date…

The big sister that cleared the way for the fabbo Quant 23 Unbearably stylish Italian daysailer (Unbearably… ed)

A baby sister to the JND 39 and A13, lightweight with lots of form stability, this boat could set a new benchmark in performance for mid-sized IRC race boats. A direct descendant of the all-conquering A35 – the JND 34 is also a very good-looking boat
