WOW rides the Wave across Europe

W

OW Company from Belgium recently completed a number of new wave pool projects across Europe using its unique

Wave Ball wave generator. At O'Gliss Park in Vendée, France, a Wave Ball

now animates an area of the Sunset Playa pool in the heart of the oasis of O'Gliss park. Bathers and swimmers in this “idyllic lagoon” can experience three levels of waves. No less than two Wave Balls have been installed

at Aqua Park Laguna – pictured left – close to Venice's Jesolo Lido beach. Operational since May, one generator is located in each part of a double pool, which forms part of the Union Lido camp resort. Each offers a different wave pattern,

with gentle undulations for the young ones and timid bathers and a more frenzied “rodeo” sessions for teens and confident swimmers. Aqua Park guests enter the pool via separate “beach” entries or one of two central staircases. A little further afield, in Poland, Aquapark Reda now has a customised Wave Ball

that resembles a shark, in keeping with the indoor park's theme. In the blink of an eye, relaxation in a traditional pool becomes a truly deep-sea adventure. WOW company has to date completed over 320 Wave Ball projects in 49 countries, working with partners including Polin Waterparks and Myrtha Pools.
