Lego continues its global charge in the Middle East, with more parks on the way

Bricks it

Following its opening in November of last year, Legoland Dubai has brought the Lego brand to life in the burgeoning Middle East

region as part of the iconic brick brand’s continued worldwide expansion. The

seventh such opening, it will be also joined by Legoland

Japan this year. We caught up with Siegfried Boerst, general manager of Legoland Dubai to just why the brand holds such global appeal…

How do Legoland Dubai and Lego Water Park differ to other Legoland parks around the world? Which existing parks are they most similar to?

Legoland Dubai is the seventh Lego Park, joining the ones in Denmark, England USA, Germany and Malaysia. As part of Dubai Parks and Resorts,Legoland Dubai and Lego Water Park are the ultimate year-round theme park destination in the Middle East for families with children from 2-12. Legoland Dubai andLego Water Park are hands-on experiences allowing families to take part in a full day Lego themed adventures through interactive rides, water slides, models and building experiences. All Lego Parks start off about the same size when they first open, and generally expand each year. Each new park takes the best elements of the existing parks, so you will find similarities among all eight Legoland Parks, following the April 2017 opening of Lego Japan.

How did you get the right mix of shaded areas/indoor attractions? Which Legoland favourites can guests experience indoors/undercover for the first time? Legoland Dubai has an abundance of areas and attractions that are indoor and undercover. Each Land of the park – Factory, Miniland, Lego City, Kingdoms, Adventure and Imagination – all boast areas that are undercover and
