I Editor’s letter
’m not sure I know a single indi- vidual that has had a good 2016; it’s certainly a year that I will be delighted to see the back of. And the new year really arrives in
February, with ICE in London and all the glitz it brings. And, as it’s in February, the damp and cold that no country quite brings the way the UK does. 2017 already has interesting propsects on the hori- zon, with Japan possibly, maybe, just about might think about having casinos (again) and Macau recovering quite nicely, though it’s early days; Caesars continues to have creditor issues, which looked to have died down but have surged back to the fore recently; I wonder where that will go in 2017. I also intend to spend a sig- nificant chunk of the year becoming less fat, so if you see me eating cake at ICE you are allowed to intervene. Mostly though, I just wanted to wish you all a happy
new year and a merry Christmas, or whatever festival you observe. Peace and love to all. Enough of my burble. Enjoy the issue.
