Nos dio mucho gusto que la feria argentina Sagse haya tenido
mejor asistencia y sobre todo por el retorno al país de muchas empresas alejadas por las medidas de importación de la anterior administración nacional. No dudamos que Giorgio Gennari y su gente vuelvan a colocar a este gran evento al especial sitial que le corresponde.
De Buenos Aires volamos a Lima para atender solicitudes de la industria, y nos topamos con el evento de IGT en el palco presidencial del Hipódromo de Monterrico, en Lima, donde años atrás habíamos sido honrados por haber ganado el Gran Premio de la Republica Oriental de Uruguay con nuestro portillo El Arba venció en el clásico peruano de los 1.200 metros al campeón nacional. Monterrico lucía espléndido en la primavera limeña, y en la próxima edición de C.I. Americano esperamos llevarles un reporte más amplio sobre el evento organizado por la oficina de IGT en Perú.
En unos días salimos para EEUU y
ver más de cerca el desarrollo del país y del juego después de las elecciones. Muchos expertos aguardan ampliaciones regulatorias para la industria, y nosotros, que la próxima administración de Trump maneje el

usy with all the activity we have throughout the region, we had very little time to venture onto Sao Paolo and attend the Brasilian Gaming Conference the week following Sagse 2016. However, courtesy of our friend Carlos Cardama,
director of the new GAMES Brazil magazine, we can report the choicest bits to you.
We had great pleasure seeing that Sagse Argentina enjoyed
better attendance than in previous years, and more so by the return to this leading event of many companies that had stayed away owing to import restrictions imposed by the previous administration. We have no doubt that Giorgio Gennari and his staff will put this great event back where it belongs.
From Buenos Aires we flew to Lima to follow up on industry
business, and stumbled upon IGT’s event at the presidential suite of Monterrico Racetrack in Lima, where a few years back we were honoured for winning The Republic of Uruguay Grand Prix with our 4-year old El Arba, beating the current champion in the 1,200 metres sprint Peruvian classic. Monterrico looked splendid in the Lima springtime and in the next edition of C.I. Americano we hope to bring you a fuller report on the event organized by IGT’s Peru office.
Just a few more days until we fly to the US to see more
closely how the country shapes up in the gaming industry after the elections. Many experts await regulatory expansion for the US industry but we tread with care, hopeful that the next Trump administration handles the country better than the casinos he saw go under on his watch.
