PRODUCT NEWS Insulduct

Insulduct has launched a phenolic foam wrap-around insulation for spiral ducting. The company is a UK-based approved Kingspan delivery partner, with fully equipped fabrication workshops located in Surrey.

Insulduct has installed specialist

machinery to produce the grooved Kooltherm panels that can be formed into a circular duct wrap. The business also manufactures all the associated bends and tees, cut to the correct size of duct required. Why choose Koolterm wrap-around insulation? Apart from smooth straight-line appearance, Kooltherm

also off ers superior insulation value, which requires only half the thickness of conventional foil faced mineral insulation to conform with BS 5422. Installation time is vastly reduced because all sections are supplied correctly sized for the duct, so there is absolutely no cutting required on site. Kooltherm FM Duct Insulation, and its rigid thermoset insulation core, are Class 0 as defi ned by the Building Regulations 73.

Reznor

Warm air, radiant and heating products are now aff ected by European Regulations, which come in the form of the Energy-related Product (ErP) Directive

The Reznor ErP compliant range includes the RTU series of packaged heat pump air handlers. The RTU range is a portfolio of packaged direct expansion

(DX) air source heat pumps and air conditioning units, which all demonstrate compelling performance under EN 14511:2013 and EN 14825:2016 standards. The products are equipped with EC Plug fan technology and free-cooling as standard.

Reznor’s range of high effi ciency packaged rooftop units are available in cooling and heat pump modes. Additionally, both are available with energy recovery functions – either with heat wheel, or with thermodynamic active or passive – as an option.

Furthermore, tandem scroll and multiscroll technology, combined with electronic expansion valves (EEV), is also available as future-proof options which are expected to be compliant with the 2021 round of the ErP Directive.

Thanks to the width of the RTU line, the fl exible confi gurability and its record nominal COP and EER, spaces with a variable occupancy rate and changing conditions during the day, such as shopping centres and retail parks, can benefi t from energy savings of up to 30%.
