Marstair
Marstair has launched its A2L SysteMatch product range, a solution for cold room applications, developed to the very highest standards and engineered to deliver a 93% reduction in system refrigerant GWP. New reduced refrigerant solutions are needed that give certainty on the charge level at specification stage. A2L SysteMatch challenges current thinking, providing a critically charged cold room solution, engineered to keep the refrigerant charge to a minimum. Following recent investment in newly built R&D testing facilities at Marstair’s UK manufacturing plant, eight months of comprehensive testing have been completed, ensuring A2L SysteMatch has been developed fully in accordance to BS EN 378: 2016 standards. As a result, a range of condensing units and cold room evaporators are available, which can be mix-matched to suit specific room temperature requirements, with duty range of 1-6kW. Systems are also suitable for a variety of A2L refrigerants including R454A, R454C and R455A.
The refrigerant charge for any system match with a known pipe run can easily be calculated, meaning A2L SysteMatch can easily be selected giving clients complete confidence their selection can be applied safely and in compliance with regulations.
A2L SysteMatch is said to be the only solution which provides a complete system solution on A2L refrigerant for cold rooms.

Pfeiffer Vacuum
Pfeiffer Vacuum is one of the world’s leading providers of vacuum and leak testing solutions. To complete the leak detection product portfolio, Pfeiffer Vacuum presents a breakthrough unit, ASM 306
S, addressing any industrial sniffing applications, especially refrigeration and air conditioning. This new product stands for high sensitivity (10-7 mbar l/s) as well as precise and accurate measurements.
Leakage control using sniffing measurements before the final refrigerant gas charge, is one of the last steps of the production process. This requires the highest testing reliability to increase productivity and quality levels. The ASM 306 S helps to meet those challenges. The product combines the advantages of a proven technology regarding sensitivity, accuracy and repeatability.
Williams
Working practices in commercial kitchens will have to change to accommodate social distancing. Creating individual chefs’ stations where everything is to hand will be part of the solution. The latest Williams Chefs Drawer, model VWCD1, is a variable temperature unit that brings refrigerated or frozen storage right to the cookface, in even the smallest kitchens. One of its main advantages is the ability to stack two units beneath a standard worktop, allowing users to create a flexible storage solution that can be customised to the chef’s specific needs. Two drawers stacked together give a combined height of as little as 838mm, including castors, making it easy to fit beneath a standard 900mm high worktop. The VWCD1 features a completely new body design with a side mounted, front ventilating cassette type refrigeration system that helps to reduce the unit’s depth to just 670mm. This allows it to be installed easily underneath a standard 700mm deep worktop, as it leaves a 30mm gap for the plug – the unit runs off a standard 13amp power supply.

The ASM 306 S has been designed to offer fast and repeatable measurements, whether helium or hydrogen is used as tracer gas. This unit offers the fastest recovery in case of big leaks to maximize uptime.
Co-designed with the user in mind, the ergonomics of the sniffer probe has been a major focus allowing the operator to be able to hold the sniffer probe during their entire working shift. The high flow probe will help to pinpoint leaks easily without missing any of them.
The probe is available with various hose lengths to easily adapt to any application and cables can be exchanged independently from the probe itself. Specific attention has been placed on the robustness of the complete ASM 306 S, including the probe and its cable, to provide a full-time sniffing unit with low cost of ownership.
The main display of the ASM 306 S offers easy readability with its 7-inch size, fully tactile and high-resolution screen. With the test information visible directly on the probe for easy visual management, thanks to color LEDs lightning up in real time in accordance to the display, operators can focus on test parts.
