thermowave, supplier of high-quality plate heat exchangers from Berga, has developed a new frame design for plate heat exchangers of the thermolineVario product line. Customers can look forward to even shorter delivery times, a wider range of applications and higher test pressure.
thermowave optimises the frame construction of the thermolineVario product line with the new M-frame. The TL0090 to TL0850 series, in gasketed and semi-welded versions, including multi-pass plate heat exchangers with connections on the movable frame plate, are now only available in the new version. Therefore, the M-frame completely replaces the L-frame version.
thermowave plate heat exchangers with the new M-frame have an even more compact design. With their optimised dimensions and reduced weight, they offer optimum space use both in application and during transport.
The M-frame can be adapted to already commissioned thermowave plate heat exchangers of all other frame variants by means of a variable selection of different foot heights. In addition, almost all old units can be replaced in a similar way, so that no new piping and no modification of the system connections is necessary.

With the UK Government continuing to ease lockdown measures, increasing numbers of companies and commercial premises are opening for business after a hiatus due to Covid-19.
To help protect the health of those making their way back to work a new ultra-effective surface sanitiser – Hi-Kleen – is being introduced by Hi-line Industries. Spraying a single coating of HI-Kleen on to surfaces such as doors, handles, handrails, chairs and desks will not only kill coronavirus, it will provide protection against further contamination for up to five hours.
Hi-Kleen has been specially formulated to kill and inhibit both bacteria and viruses on hard or soft surfaces subject to frequent contact. Simply spray at a distance of approximately 10–20 cm from the surface to be treated for effective protection.
Notably, active biocides present in the formulation provide longer- lasting protection than alcohol-based preparations. Hi-line’s new surface sanitiser does not stain, is non-corrosive and will give a streak and smear-free finish to most polished surfaces, including glass and stainless steel. The product is safe to use and alcohol-free, meaning that there is no drying or irritation to the skin.
