Daikin

The L∞P by Daikin programme is set to increase sustainability gains in Europe, with 250,000kg of virgin refrigerant production being avoided yearly thanks to this circular economy initiative. Daikin Europe is expanding its circular economy approach to all VRV units manufactured and sold across Europe from November 2020 under the mantel of L∞P by Daikin, thus expanding on the reclaimed refrigeration initiatives fi rst launched as part of the Partner with Confi dence programme in the UK.

The new RFKH20 series is suitable for A2L refrigerants. With new thermostatic expansion valves, the RFKH20 series is suitable for refrigerants R455A and R454C in

temperature range N [from -40°C to +10°C] without MOP function. The new series contains six diff erent models with three diff erent outlet connections types, with internal or external equalisation:  1/2” SAE fl are connection  ODF connection – Metric 12mm  ODF connection – Imperial 1/2”.

The RFKH series also includes:

 RFKH08 series: models suitable for usage with R448A & R449A refrigerants

 RFKH11 series: models suitable for usage with R452A refrigerant.

RFKH series valves can be used for both cooling and air conditioning applications and are available for the main refrigerants currently on the market: R407C, R134a, R404A, R507 (a diff erent version for R22 is available for non-EU markets). RFKH series valves are confi gured as thermostatic valves with interchangeable orifi ces, a brass body, copper connections and a stainless steel head. The use of stainless steel in the bulb and capillary tube brings greater strength to the valve and reduces the risk of capillary tube damage in the event of accidental impacts or unusual vibrations.

The RFKH range also off ers fl exibility of choice in regard to types of fi tting with a threaded inlet and outlet (SAE Flare), a confi guration mainly used by installers, and with metric or imperial welded fi ttings.

Sanhuaeurope.com Beijer Ref

Due to the success of FGASmanager, Beijer Ref has now launched FGASmanager Pro. FGASmanager Pro provides all the benefi ts of FGASmanager with the added benefi t of allowing contractors the ability to add any cylinder that needs tracking onto the system, no matter where it came from or who supplied it. It provides complete control of purchased refrigerant, the allocation of cylinders to engineers and refrigerant usage by system for all cylinders in your company, even non refrigerant cylinders. This powerful tool ensures that activities comply with F-Gas regulations, including the ability to generate hazardous waste transfer notes automatically. The notes are generated with all the necessary fi elds populated and are ready to print within seconds. Another built-in feature allows you to organise cylinder collections, or returns, from your computer and/or mobile device automatically generating the correct paperwork.

The L∞P by Daikin programme will save 250,000kg of virgin refrigerant from being produced yearly by giving access to recovered and reclaimed refrigerant. Independent certifi cation guarantees that the reclaimed refrigerant fully meets quality standards and is correctly allocated to certifi ed L∞P by Daikin VRV units. An independent audit process guarantees that the reclaimed refrigerant meets the exact same quality standards as virgin refrigerant. This process also ensures the correct administrative allocation of the reclaimed refrigerant: for every certifi ed L∞P by Daikin unit on the market, there is an equivalent 100% reclaimed refrigerant used at Daikin’s factories.

The key principles of the programme are simple: Daikin recovers refrigerants from existing systems through its installer network, upcycles and reclaims them to virgin quality, and then allocates the reclaimed refrigerants to new VRV systems manufactured and sold across Europe.
