hiller and air handling manufacturer Aermec UK has further expanded its sales team
with the appointment of David Evans. Appointed as general sales manager, David will be working closely with Aermec’s sales team and building on the business’s base to grow sales across all markets including the commercial and residential markets. Mr Evans has over three decades of experience initially starting out as a technical sales engineer in air conditioning for a Kent based air handling manufacturer. He then built upon his knowledge and experience by working for some of the HVAC industry’s leading air handling and chiller companies holding a number of high-profile roles. “This is an important role in our business, Aermec is growing rapidly and David’s appointment comes at a time when we are continuing to increase our presence in the market, growing the brand and developing our sales in areas where we have identified opportunities for growth,” commented Paul Lawrence, managing director of Aermec UK. This is the fourth sales addition to Aermec’s team in the past five months.

for creating and managing promotions. Ms Munro previously worked as sales engineer for Dean & Wood Newcastle and has a wealth of experience having worked within the branch and on the road visiting customers. Ms Munro commented: “After working for Dean & Wood for eight years I have developed a wealth of

product knowledge. I have great relationships with suppliers and customers alike and I now have an insider perspective of how a refrigeration and air conditioning company runs. With that knowledge I started putting ideas forward on how we could promote the business and products through social media and promotions.

Mr Sharp has worked in the controls industry for over 35 years and is an Associate at NDA Consulting, the specialist BEMS and energy consultancy practice. His previous experience includes UK and European leadership roles at Johnson Controls, Sontay and Satchwell Control Systems. After re-joining the BCIA Management Committee in 2017 Terry was appointed Vice-President of the BCIA in January 2019.

new President. Mr Sharp takes over C

hris Davies, based at Newcastle- under-Lyme in Staffordshire, has been appointed by the Telford-based thermal insulation specialist as divisional sales manager for the Midlands and Ireland. Mr Davies served with HM Forces
Royal Artillery from 1979 until 2000. Since leaving the armed forces, he has held a string of high-profile sales management roles at companies including BDC Commercial, Barrett Steel, Pland Stainless, and Wisharts of Scotland. At Wisharts, he set up a new commercial department which grew from a zero base to over £3.4 million annual turnover. He said: “I’m excited to start work at SMI, because I can see immediately how the fantastic product range can help such a wide range of companies in the thermal protection industry.” Mr Davies added: “I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting started. My military service has taught me self-discipline, and the right morals in life, and I pride myself on being open and honest with customers.”
