Resource Data Management Bitzer

The latest update to the Bitzer software enables the selection of performance data for even more components in its product range, providing a reliable tool for users to select suitable components for their systems. The software is only

recently available in version 6.10.0, which enables users to select many new compressor models and refrigerants, with a key focus on Bitzer’s screw compressors. The performance data for compressors of the HS series ranging between 20 and 75 Hz is now available for all conventional refrigerants. The corresponding Varipack frequency inverter can be selected as an accessory for any compressor. New technical information also contains additional details on operating screw compressors with external frequency inverters. New CSVH3 and CSVW3 compressor models have also been incorporated into the software, and Bitzer has added new refrigerants for the CSH.6 series. A further screw compressor has been integrated in the form of the CSW10593-400Y. www.bitzer-software.com

protocols and its unique 10.1” touch-screen, DMTouch is ideal for managing HVAC, refrigeration and lighting infrastructure. The new software includes compatibility with RDM’s soon-to-be- released Bluetooth Mesh product range. Consisting of probes, monitors and controllers, these devices will be able to communicate directly with DMTouch – without the need to run wires to the system head-end. Many of the new features enhance the overall user experience, making it even faster for users to access data and manage HVAC, refrigeration and lighting devices across their building or site. Providing more data at a glance, the new multi-view home page, custom mimics and additional graph display options make it easier to interpret device operating data.

Users will benefit from a faster set-up time, streamlined navigation and a more detailed display of data.

The new software also allows DMTouch to monitor up to six sources of consumables and display data in an easy-to-interpret format. Energy, gas or water usage can be monitored, with savings or overspending calculated and detailed consumption analysis available. DMTouch software v3.1.0 is available for remote and self-install. www.resourcedm.com

Carel will be at Data Centre World 2020 showcasing some of their data centre solutions for global energy savings. Carel has over 45 years’ experience as a supplier of high efficiency technologies. Particular focus at the exhibition will be on the application of Carel products in micro data centres. Its solutions on show will demonstrate connected efficiency to the complete data centre chain, plus reinforce our capability in integrated humidification solutions. The product showcase include: Boss & Boss mini - a complete range of simple monitoring solutions for medium and small data centres; cPCO mini - a compact solution with high connectivity for compact units for energy saving; PGDx - HMI designed to offer an improved user experience, with simplified access to system information; PSD2 - drive for BLDC compressors for high efficiency, supply temperature control and energy saving; HumiSonic - a complete solution for high precision and short absorption distance, with low energy consumption; Recuperator - a wide range of energy saving technologies. www.carel.com

control system. This makes the chiller even easier for end users and maintenance contractors to operate and reduces maintenance costs by automating checks required under F-Gas regulations. A compatible fixed refrigerant leak detection system can now be connected directly to the chiller, linking this monitoring function with the chiller’s control system to speed up customer or contractor notification in the unlikely event of refrigerant loss and enable more timely corrective action to be taken. Carrier can supply and fit compatible refrigerant leak detectors, including all wiring connections between the sensors and the chiller control panel. Use of a fixed refrigerant leak detection system reduces the number of mandatory site visits required for testing the chiller under F-Gas regulations by half.

The upgrade also includes replacement of Carrier’s Prodialog+ control system with the Touch Pilot system that makes available the latest control functions via a colour touch-sensitive screen, accessible via the internet on PC, tablet or smart phone. The new control system offers alarm notification by email and SMS alert for rapid response and facilitates easy connection to building management systems. Performance data stored within the unit’s onboard memory can be analysed via a user-friendly graphical display, which shows trend data over time at the touch of a button. www.carrier.com

to a low energy EC motor. This negates the need for a mains powered speed controller. It also has the knock-on effect of lowering overall running costs and CO2 emissions, by adjusting fan speed to produce a more efficient and environmentally-friendly solution. This contributes to a reduction in energy bills of up to 20% and makes ventilation management far easier. www.eltafans.com
