Hizone

Bitzer

Hizone is the result of a partnership between ISA and designer Antonio Citterio which aims to create a revolutionary kitchen concept.

The latest update to the Bitzer software enables the selection of performance data for even more components in its product range, providing a reliable tool for users to select suitable components for their systems. The software is only

Hizone provides the chef, and their

team, with a professional environment. The Hizone range bridges the gap between front and back of house, creating a theatre kitchen which becomes the heart of the restaurant. The range consists of refrigerated cabinets, counters and blast chillers as well as matching ambient cabinet, counter and shelving solutions.

The refrigerated models in the HIZONE range feature an intuitive touch-screen controller, soft-close reversible doors, integrated LEDs which can be adjusted for both intensity and shade, 304-grade stainless steel internals and are available in a choice of finishes. The integrated monoblock refrigeration system has been designed to deliver reliability and performance.

Features such as EC fan motors, variable speed inverter compressor, 80mm thick insulation, five-chamber door seals and natural refrigerants are all standard.

Synapsys Solutions has added a SIPslice IP converter to its range of SIPslice accessories. The Synapsys SIPslice IP converter provides a simple and efficient way of converting ModBus, M-Bus or pulse/digital input values to ModBus or M-Bus TCP/IP. It utilises built-in web pages to configure the communication parameters necessary to convert the serial communications to the TCP/IP network. When configured, the SIPslice IP converter allows information from a

network of ModBus or M-Bus Serial slave addresses to be transferred to ModBus or M-Bus TCP/IP Master(s). The digital/pulse acquisition input will also appear as a unique address on the fieldbus TCP/IP network. It also features DIN rail mounting, Power over Ethernet, LEDs for power, Bus activity, health and comms, the SIPslice IP converter is a low-cost solution for converting serial comms messages to TCP/IP comms messages. Alastair Ewen, account manager for Synapsys Solutions, said: “As with

all Synapsys products, the SIPslice IP converter has been designed to be simple to deploy and use. The hardware has also been designed to have a small footprint making them ideal for inclusion within panels and other locations where space is at a premium.”

BSRIA Instrument Solutions provides measuring instruments that meet the needs of its clients. The Testo 440 multifunctional product range provides solutions to meet a wide range of on-site demands with a comprehensive high- precision probe selection, robust design, and accurate and reliable data output with the option of direct cable or Smart Bluetooth connectivity. Combined with its intuitive clear display and an unrivalled level of accuracy, it is the cost- effective solution that every engineer needs in their toolkit. Condair, which specialises in humidifier system advice, design, manufacture, supply, installation, commissioning, planned maintenance and spares support, has recently purchased multiple Testo 440 humidity, temperature and air velocity measurement kits from BSRIA Instrument Solutions. Condair is recognised by its customers as providing a first-class professional service and it therefore demands the same from its suppliers, which is why it has chosen BSRIA Instrument Solutions as its preferred supplier for its instrumentation purchases. Dan Higgins, BSRIA Instrument Solutions sales manager, said: “We understand that our clients’ businesses are dependent on the need to have the right instrument available at any time, so we focus on supplying exactly what they need.”

recently available in version 6.10.0, which enables users to select many new compressor models and refrigerants, with a key focus on Bitzer’s screw compressors. The performance data for compressors of the HS series ranging between 20 and 75 Hz is now available for all conventional refrigerants. The corresponding Varipack frequency inverter can be selected as an accessory for any compressor. New technical information also contains additional details on operating screw compressors with external frequency inverters. New CSVH3 and CSVW3 compressor models have also been incorporated into the software, and Bitzer has added new refrigerants for the CSH.6 series. A further screw compressor has been integrated in the form of the CSW10593-400Y. www.bitzer-software.com

Moffat

Carrier

Moffat’s innovative line of refrigerated wells add a new dimension of technology and energy efficiency to its range of drop-in modules. The refrigerated wells comprise all the working parts of the counter and can be seamlessly slotted into any shop-fitted service counters, custom-built breakfast bars or buffets. At the heart of the units is Moffat’s Polar Air Stream system, which provides a constant, recirculating cold air curtain that envelopes the well and its contents. This technology ensures that all pre-chilled food is held in safe, regulated conditions of a core temperature below 5°C in ambient conditions up to 25°C and 60% relative humidity. The unit’s refrigeration system is housed underneath the well and runs on environmentally-friendly R290 refrigerant. A digital temperature control and thermostat, and automatic water evaporation eliminate the need for operators to empty drip trays. LED lighting is deployed in models with a gantry to guarantee that the well’s contents are well illuminated, while using 85% less energy than conventional lighting. The gantry’s shielded glass panel is available in both square and curved profiles, in either open- or closed-front designs. www.ermoffat.co.uk

Carrier has introduced an important upgrade to its AquaSnap 30RBMP- 30RQMP chiller range with the addition of built-in connectivity for fixed refrigerant leak monitoring and the addition of Carrier’s flagship Touch Pilot

Trane is introducing models RTAF XSE and RTAF XSS, the latest designs in the Sintesis portfolio of air-cooled chillers and heat pumps.

The new Sintesis chillers deliver

capacities between 360kW and 1250kW with market leading Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) reaching up to 6.41 in case of the RTAF XSE model, up to 51% over the Ecodesign 2021 threshold. The new Trane Sintesis RTAF chillers will be available with R134a and HFO R1234ze refrigerants and will include the following key features: four Acoustic packages: SN, LN, XLN, WLN; Variable Volume index (VVi) screw compressor with permanent magnet motor, variable speed and integrated muffler; electronically commutated condenser fans with the XSE model; less refrigerant use thanks to the Trane patented high-performance, integrated, low charge CHIL Evaporator and microchannel condenser coil; Tracer UC800 with TD7 AdaptiView displays and AdaptiveControl capabilities for greater system intelligence and better management of the unit and efficient operation; ariable Primary Flow full compatibility; Standard BacNet MSTP and IP,Modbus, Lontalk communication.

control system. This makes the chiller even easier for end users and maintenance contractors to operate and reduces maintenance costs by automating checks required under F-Gas regulations. A compatible fixed refrigerant leak detection system can now be connected directly to the chiller, linking this monitoring function with the chiller’s control system to speed up customer or contractor notification in the unlikely event of refrigerant loss and enable more timely corrective action to be taken. Carrier can supply and fit compatible refrigerant leak detectors, including all wiring connections between the sensors and the chiller control panel. Use of a fixed refrigerant leak detection system reduces the number of mandatory site visits required for testing the chiller under F-Gas regulations by half.

The upgrade also includes replacement of Carrier’s Prodialog+ control system with the Touch Pilot system that makes available the latest control functions via a colour touch-sensitive screen, accessible via the internet on PC, tablet or smart phone. The new control system offers alarm notification by email and SMS alert for rapid response and facilitates easy connection to building management systems. Performance data stored within the unit’s onboard memory can be analysed via a user-friendly graphical display, which shows trend data over time at the touch of a button. www.carrier.com
