The RTIS3 is the latest version of the tried and
tested Reel Tab Inserter System. The new modular design allows the selection of options to suit your requirements, and can be easily upgraded in the future should those requirements change. From the Basic unit which applies a label onto the moving web, to the Standard Print version which prints a three letter reason of fault code onto the label, with eight manual and eight automatic codes as standard, additional input boxes are available to increase the number of markable faults. The Advanced Print Version adds the ability to custom code the reason of fault to suit your requirements and print barcodes, including QR and data matrix type as well as images onto the label. The RTIS3 is an important and valuable component within the quality management optimisation process when manufacturing web products. Two different installation options (off- web/over-web) offer versatile mounting to suit the customer’s requirements. With the availability of this option, costly production line alterations can be avoided in most cases. The renowned compact design and modular
structure of the RTIS3 enables future upgrades and easy addition of options. It can attach self-
adhesive labels onto the moving web at up to 600 metres per minute without physical contact so quality relevant areas can be marked and identified.
The contactless labelling via Vacuumatic’s air
pressure technology ensures no chance of damage to the web. Depending on the selected interface box and printing options, various printing alternatives are available, such as barcode, QR or EAN images or conventional three-character type. The optional printing software for self-
programming codes offers the customer the possibility to design codes individually and modify them at any time. The RTIS3 avoids dangerous and inaccurate hand flagging, contributing to the prevention of accidents and ensuring the quality of the finished goods. Furthermore, it supports the optimisation process. There is an RTIS3 to suit all requirements. The
