manufacturers and contractors to lower costs and improve performance by optimising their use of assets (including test equipment) at DSEi (S2-162). “Companies that manage their assets and workflows effectively have a competitive edge over those that don’t. With LEO 2, we are making our expertise in ‘Through Life’ management available to all, allowing the industry to lower costs and reduce development times,” said David Whitfield, CEO Asset Management Services, Microlease. “LEO 2 can manage any asset, job or workflow. It is particularly useful in the test and measurement industry where we regularly see many organisations with equipment that is unused or can’t be used as it hasn’t been serviced or calibrated. The test equipment asset base of a major manufacturer or contractor can have a value of tens or hundreds of millions of dollars, with individual pieces of equipment costing between $10,000 and $100,000 or more. The defence industry needs to ensure that it makes the best possible use of this resource, to achieve high levels of efficiency and business performance.”

LEO 2 features a completely redeveloped User Interface, is now available via the secure MoD Cloud and includes standard MoD form reports and KPI dashboard. At DSEi, Microlease will be presenting six demonstrations capturing key capabilities of the solution. Drawing on Microlease’s deep expertise in test asset management, LEO 2 gives defence contractors and other users complete visibility of their assets through one intuitive portal. It allows them to quickly and easily locate the assets that they need, eliminating duplicate purchasing or rental. It also allows them to identify underutilized assets which can be disposed of, and manage the calibration and maintenance of equipment ensuring that it is ready for use at all times. LEO 2’s open database is built on Oracle technology compatible with SAP, Oracle Apps and other major ERP and financial systems. Microlease specialists at DSEi will be available to visitors to discuss their challenges with Through Life Management, and share their experience and very wide knowledge of available solutions.
