PREVIEW CEMAT 2016
DISCOVER A WORLD OF EXCITING POSSIBILITIES I
n today’s world of digitised business processes and networked factories
smart intralogistics solutions are vital for commercial survival. They offer major opportunities for growth. CeMAT in Hannover is by far the
biggest intralogistics trade fair in the world, boasting more than 1,000 international exhibitors on a total display area of approximately 120,000 square meters. It is where many of the solutions that will shape the future of intralogistics are first presented to a worldwide audience. It is the number one source of information on all the latest integrated logistics technologies. CeMAT 2016 which take places 31 May-
3 June will embrace every area of intralogistics including innovative, energy-saving forklift trucks and industrial trucks, fully automated handling, shelving and warehousing systems and the latest IT developments. The picture would not be complete
without displays of cranes, lifting equipment and platforms, auto-ID systems, robot logistics and packaging technology. Port handling technology and transport logistics will be added to this line-up.
LOGISTICS IT Software is becoming an increasingly important part of the intralogistics market. In recognition of this CeMAT’s organisers have created a dedicated display area for all the latest logistics software applications: the Logistics IT in Hall 27. It is only fitting then that SAP,
the world’s leading enterprise software company should be exhibiting at CeMAT. SAP and six partner companies will debut at the show with their latest industry solutions in the Logistics IT display area.
MOVE & LIFT Move & Lift is dedicated to innovations in materials handling and lifting technology including industrial trucks, cranes and hoisting equipment, access platforms, continuous handling systems and port handling equipment.
STORE & LOAD Store & Load puts the spotlight on automated warehousing solutions. It features exhibits of rack systems, factory equipment, pallets, containers, loading and unloading equipment and complete warehousing and loading systems. Like other core areas of the logistics
industry, the cranes and lifting equipment sector faces major challenges from the growing trend toward digital integration and Industry 4.0.
CRANES & LIFTING In recognition of this the sector will have its own dedicated exhibition area at the upcoming show: the Cranes and Lifting Equipment Pavilion in Hall 27. CeMAT ranks among the world’s most
important trade fairs for cranes and lifting equipment.
MANAGE & SERVICE The Manage & Service showcase brings together internal and external logistics.
Digitalisation is revolutionising entire value chains and opening up new opportunities both for providers of internal logistics technology and for providers of external transport logistics services. The future success of such companies hinges on the efficiency and capabilities of their logistics centres. Big data means that complete and up-
to-the-minute information on vehicles, orders and consignments can be accessed anywhere, anytime - making logistics processes much simpler both to manage and control.
PICK & PACK Pick & Pack - the packaging technology line-up at CeMAT 2016 - will be bigger and better than ever. Among this year’s exhibits will be the very latest packaging plant and machinery and state-of-the art transport packaging solutions, materials and media. The international significance of CeMAT
to the global logistics sector is demonstrated by the fact that there are already eight regional CeMAT events outside of Hannover: Istanbul, Australia, Russia, Asia, India, South America, Southeast Asia and Italy.

BATTERY CHARGING COST OPTIMISATION FOR INTRALOGISTICS Fronius remains on hand to provide maintenance, repair and continuous
Fronius will reveal the new orientation of the Perfect Charging Division. Whether it is for the operation of electrically-powered forklift trucks in intralogistics or a reliable power supply for starter batteries of vehicles in production plants, showrooms and workshops Fronius technology ensures maximum availability of your vehicles and a longer service life for batteries in numerous applications around the world. The specialist supports its customers throughout the entire service chain from analysing the current situation and the savings potential through to the planning, design and commissioning of the optimum charging infrastructure.
optimisation services. With the Ri charging process the company is offering the most advanced, efficient and gentle charging process for lead acid batteries anywhere in the world. One of the pioneers in developing alternative drive technologies such as the lithium-ion battery and the fuel cell, Fronius has already incorporated future-proof solutions into its portfolio. The clear objective is the sustainable optimisation of the customers' intralogistics processes with a reduction in costs as a result. Fronius is expanding the successful Selectiva range to include several
new models in the 2 kW and 3 kW power categories. Designed for use with traction batteries with a voltage of 24 or 48 volts these battery charging systems are equipped with the innovative Ri charging process. This process minimises overcharging which otherwise causes a high level
of energy loss and heats up the battery with detrimental effects. The user therefore benefits from an extended battery life and increased availability. Fronius has developed the Cool Battery Guide Easy information and management system for optimum utilisation of the battery pool. A control unit combined with LED strips on each individual battery charging system indicate which has been fully charged for the longest, intuitively guiding the user to the correct battery. This ensures that every battery is used equally and has enough time to cool down. Fuel cells developed by Fronius and lithium-ion solutions will be displayed. Both systems have huge potential for use as future drive solutions in the intralogistics sector.
