Martindale Flex reaches the parts other meters can’t!
Controller saves space by packing enhanced functionality into a smaller footprint
new programmable DIN-rail mounted controller (PLC) from WAGO has a smaller footprint than its predecessors while providing enhanced functionality for seamless process automation. Available in three variants, the smallest of which measures just 50 mm wide, the PFC100 offers a compact and attractively priced control solution for a wide range of industrial applications.
A The
controller is designed exclusively for e!COCKPIT, WAGO’s new intuitive engineering software suite, greatly simplifying the installation process and enabling systems to be brought online faster. The controller is based on a Linux® real-time
operating system, and its high performance Cortex A8 600MHz processor makes it suitable even for highly complex algorithms and applications. The PFC100 combines the comprehensive computing power and functionality of WAGO’s feature-rich PFC family of controllers with a smaller footprint that can save considerable control panel space.

new range of True RMS flexible current meters, designed to help electrical professionals get to those hard to reach conductors. Ideal for measuring conductors of different shapes and sizes including fuse holders, the latest series of meters from Martindale Electric includes the CM95 for high resolution measurement down to 1mA and the CM100 for measuring high current up to 3000A. Using advanced flexible current sensors, the most recent

STI develops mechanical safety interlocks for harsh environments
ndustrial safety specialist SERV Trayvou Interverrouillage (STI) has developed a range of mechanical interlocks for heavy-duty applications or aggressive environments. The NS range relies on trapped-key technology and is suitable for use in industries such as cement, concrete, asphalt and steel, as well as tyre manufacture and maintenance in the rail industry. The NS range’s bolt and latch locks are made from copper-brushed aluminium with stainless steel covers. The corrosion-resistant properties of aluminium enable the range to withstand harsh operating conditions. There are no intermediary components between the NS range’s key and bolt; the key drives the bolt directly. A broken key will prevent the bolt from moving, while a defective bolt will trap the key in the lock. This important feature ensures that personnel are immediately warned of any fault affecting either the key or locking mechanism, keeping operators safe.

Like a knife through butter New hole saw range cuts through thick stainless steel with ease
P
ower tool accessories and hand tool specialist, Starrett, has launched a new range of carbide tipped deep cut (CTD) hole saws. The new range is an ideal solution for the repeated intensive drilling of stainless steel, non ferrous metal, aluminium and copper of any thickness up to 25mm. The hole saw is designed for use by contractors in the electrical, mechanical, construction, HVAC, plumbing and other fitting sectors.
building,
The new hole saw comes completely assembled, ready for use and features three different angles ground on to the cutting face of each tooth on the saw. This three-ply tooth grind delivers a fast cut, minimal snag when the saw begins the cut and efficient swarf removal, resulting in fast cutting performance, minimal heat build-up and maximum saw life. An ejector spring aids ejection of the core from the saw.
"One of the biggest challenges contractors face is the variety of surfaces they have to deal with on a day-to-day basis," explained John Cove, Marketing Manager at Starrett. "Different materials including masonry, brickwork, plastic, wood, and steel all have different characteristics. In these situations, a one-size-fits-all approach simply does not work.
"This is why we developed this new range," continued Cove. "The carbide tipped deep cut hole saw can be run at a much faster drill speed and will cut more quickly than a standard hole saw through sheet stainless steel up to 25mm thick, enclosures, pipe work and structural steel work and it can be used with mains powered or cordless fixed and portable drills."
The new carbide tipped deep cut hole saw is available in two kits, one containing eight saws from 16-64mm and another containing seven saws from 16-50mm. The kits are protected by a tough case to keep the saws safe and ready for use. Replacement pilot drills and ejector springs are also available and individual saws are available in a range of diameters from 15-100mm.
