HD Survey of the Esholt Tunnel – The Esholt Tunnel was previously un-surveyed due to its length (4.5km between access points) and diameter of 3m, but the World Record survey was accomplished giving CCTV footage with laser profile survey of pipework above the water line, and Sonar profile survey of below the water line to enable our Client to assess remedial works for the first time since it was built in 1940. Just to complete a CCTV survey of the sewer was an achievement in itself, but to also get the laser-sonar data and then stitch this together to create a 3D scan
of the sewer is a first of its kind and the next level of reportable data. Ultra-High Pressure Water Cutting
This has been trialled with several Clients to show the cutting power of our fully hydraulic water cutter that works at up to 2000 bar, 26000 PSI and can cut through metal, Concrete, Debris, Intrusions and thick root ingress.

RSM’S expanding fleet and a celebration of service
RSM lining supplies are the leading supplier of CIPP products, equipment and services. Our customer base requires a refrigerated delivery service to supply hot cure pre impregnated liners to site where the contractor accepts delivery and installs. The liners are impregnated on the UKs largest impregnation table that can handle liners of any length up to 1800mm diameter. RSM offer a wide range of Polyester, Vinlyester and Epoxy resins to suit all applications. The customer base of RSM is varied and we have delivered liners to all corners of the UK. Our dedicated operations and logistics team work to make sure all liners are delivered to the contractor on time and in the perfect condition.
RSM have offered this delivery service, since 2008 and it has gone from strength to strength. Logistics managers, Chris Kirk told us about the service, “At RSM we offer a service that is second to none, and we have a fantastic team who work all hours of the day to make sure that the deliveries turn up at the exact time the customer wants it”. The delivery service of pre impregnated liners along with the deliveries of standard materials has meant that RSM has had to invest in the fleet. This month RSM have taken delivery of three new refrigerated Mercedes Sprinter box vans. These will increase capacity and make sure that RSM continue to never say no and can always offer the customer the next day service they are accustomed to. This investment takes the refrigerated delivery units at RSM to a total of 11 with an additional 5 non refrigerated vehicles for material deliveries.
With the celebration of new vehicles also brings a celebration of service at RSM. Tom Waddoups joined the company in 2010 on a part time basis after graduating from Cambridge University with a degree in Land Economy. Tom has now been with the company for five years and his role has changed vastly. His role now covers a general management capacity of the full operation. He also liaises with customers and suppliers on technical issues and has a key role in the direction of RSM. Managing Director, Richard Davis talked of Tom’s commitment to the company, “Tom is a fantastic employee to have, and he is incredibly committed and always puts RSM first. He is a pleasure to work with and we would be lost without his vision and ideas.”
