REBECCA Bryson and Nan Short of Caribtours hosted key local travel agents to an excellent Dinner at the Grand Central Hotel in Belfast recently. The Caribtours’ hosts were joined by two of the company’s suppliers, one from the European programme and the other from the Indian Ocean sector - Christine Vel, Director UK & Ireland for the Seychelles Islands, and Elisa Rodriguez Castro, Associate Director of Sales from the Bahia Del Dugue Hotel Tenerife. Caribtours features both hotels in its brochures.


Agents found the speakers very interesting as they were brought up to speed with all the


latest developments and what can be off ered to Northern Ireland clients.


Caribtours will be celebrating its 40th anniversary later this year and is the oldest Caribbean specialist operator.

Agent educational on Malaga cruise


TRAVEL Solutions, Northern Ireland’s leading tour operator, recently hosted fi ve local travel agents onboard Fred. Olsen’s Boudicca as she sailed towards Malaga.


Peter McMinn, Travel Solutions Managing Director, said “ As part of our on- going product familiarisation programme, we pleased that fi ve of our agents could join us onboard Boudicca to sample the excellent Fred Olsen product”. He continued “ It is not until an agent travels as a passenger do


they fully appreciate the fantastic level of service, great food, and the onboard entertainment. We would like to thank our partners, Fred Olsen Cruise Line, for their great hospitality”.


The agents spent six days onboard , which included a visit to the Portuguese city of Porto. Whilst onboard they sampled the various restaurants, took part in the entertainment programme, and had time to sit back in the sunshine and be well looked after by the Fred .Olsen team onboard.


JET2HOLIDAYS has announced details of its fi fth annual VIP conference for independent travel agency partners, with singer Peter Andre accompanying top performing agents on the company’s biggest ever conference at the AR Diamante Beach & Spa in Calpe, Costa Blanca.


This year’s conference – themed ‘La Gran Reunion’ (The Big Reunion) - will be attended by more than 300 independent travel agency partners and delegates, with senior fi gures from the UK’s second largest tour operator showcasing how Jet2holidays plans to further strengthen its partnership approach to working with agents.


Details of the conference were revealed by Jet2holidays’ Head of Trade, Alan Cross, at an exclusive launch event for agency partners in Manchester. He announced that the conference will take place from Monday, November 25 to Thursday, November 28, with the stylish and luxurious AR Diamante Beach & Spa in the beautiful town of Calpe chosen as this year’s conference venue. For the second year, there will be one single extended conference, with top performing agency partners coming together to learn how they can work in partnership to promote and sell package holidays to drive business growth.

For the third and fi nal year, the popular Jet2holidays’ Got Talent competition will give agents the opportunity to showcase their talents on stage, this time at the prestigious Benidorm Palace.


After a string of popular VIP guest appearances at previous conferences, this year’s star attraction is none other than singer Peter Andre. As well as entertaining agents with a selection of his smash hits, he will also take part in an on- stage Q&A with Alan Cross – a format that has thrown up some interesting revelations in previous years!
