East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm


In January 2010, through The Crown Estate’s Round 3 Tender Process, East Anglia Offshore Wind Limited was awarded the right to explore the development of approximately 7,200 megawatts of offshore wind capacity in an area of sea off the coast of East Anglia. We have called this area the East Anglia Zone. East Anglia Offshore Wind Limited intends to develop a number of projects within this zone. Information on the first four of these is given here.


East Anglia ONE In November 2012, we submitted an application for consent for East Anglia ONE, the first project we propose to develop in the Zone. A decision is anticipated this month.


Project background


East Anglia TWO The location of East Anglia TWO has been identified and we are proposing to develop this site at a later date.


East Anglia THREE East Anglia THREE is the second project to be developed in the Zone. The application for consent is due to be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate in November 2014. Today’s consultation focuses on this project.


East Anglia FOUR The Preliminary Environmental Information consultation for East Anglia FOUR is anticipated to take place in early 2015, with the submission of the application for consent to follow later in the year.
