East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm
Local economy East Anglia Offshore Wind has formed links with business organisations across the region and recognises the strong regional capability in the offshore sector. We look forward to growing relationships throughout the delivery of the East Anglia THREE project. Directors of the Joint Venture participate at Board level with the East of England Energy Group and East Anglia Offshore Wind staff have supported New Anglia LEP initiatives such as Wild Anglia and the Green Economy Pathfinder.
Local employment As a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project and part of a wider zone of up to six projects, the East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm has the potential to create employment opportunities. There will be other positive direct and indirect economic impacts, for example increased expenditure in the local area and job creation outside of the industry. Further details on this are detailed in Chapter 28 of the Preliminary Environmental Information Report.
We are committed to leaving a legacy of skills development which began by sponsoring the award winning East Anglian Daily Times and Suffolk County Council Maths Challenge.
Devised by three Suffolk maths teachers, the Challenge now involves 5,600 pupils from

102 Suffolk primary schools. We have committed to further promoting skills as part of the development of our first windfarm.

Next steps We plan to submit an application for a Development Consent Order for East Anglia THREE, in November 2014. As part of the Development Consent Order application, a consultation report will be produced, documenting the consultation that has occurred throughout the project to that point. This will be publically available.
