Putting on a display for services
New products exhibited at this year’s show by Midas Components include many TFT products such as letterbox style, mono products, optically bonded, IPS and all round view angles (ARVA) displays, as well as multi-touch capacitive and multi- touch resistive touchscreens, and various glass overlays. They complement the company’s
traditional VA technology LCDs, high-resolution graphic LCDs, RGB OLEDs, see-through OLED displays, mono alphanumeric LCDs, ultrasonic sensor ranges and EMC products. As well as design, manufacture,
and supply of display, sensor and EMC products, the company provides comprehensive technical assistance and designs. This is supported by a wide range of interface, interconnection, and driver board products, designed to work with a range of industry standard processors and controllers such as Raspberry-Pi, UC32, and Arduino. The UK-based engineering team
can support the chosen product evaluation time by supplying technical support. The company also offers over
700 of its lines through Farnell, RS Components, Rapid, and Maplin, for prototyping and low volume production.

Visit for samples of chemicals for electronics
Since inception, MG Chemicals has been developing and formulating high performance chemicals to the electronics manufacturing industry. It manufactures dusters and circuit coolers, electronic cleaners, flux removers, contact cleaners, protective coatings, epoxies, adhesives, RTV silicones, lubricants, EMI/RFI shielding coatings, thermal management products, prototyping supplies and solders This year, the company
introduced the 832FX black flexible epoxy encapsulating and potting compound, the 9200 structural epoxy adhesive and a line of fast, medium
Materials software controls
and slow cure time flowable thermally conductive adhesives. Samples can be viewed on the
stand. A team of experts will be pleased to discuss how they can contribute to meet, or surpass, requirements.

Foam alone creates a stand
To showcase its range, MSA Foams will exhibit in a stand made entirely from foam! Specialising in the design and manufacture of protective packaging for components or delicate equipment that requires safe transportation, the company, part of the Peli Group, uses the stand to showcase the various colours and foam densities available. The in-house design team
created the stand to demonstrate the product range, the design service and manufacturing capabilities. Separate panels interlock neatly using jigsaw tabs for the visible joints of the walls’ panels, showing the precision of the foam cutting and finish, in addition to strengthening the connection between the stand panels. To demonstrate the cutting
technology at the 31,000 sq ft facility, there is a complex water-jet cut map of the UK, showing the areas of the business development team and a laser engraved, precision-cut Aztec design. Even
scheduling to invoicing With over 25 years of sheet metal, engineering and fabrication experience, MIE Solutions has developed MIETrak Pro MRP (materials requirement planning) production control software. With hundreds of UK users, and thousands worldwide, it has become an industry- specific, complete MRP software solution that is affordable, easy to use, install and implement, says the company. Features and capabilities include
request for quotation, estimating, works order, purchasing, MRP, stock control, costing, production scheduling, planning and tracking software, reporting, shop floor data capture, delivery notes and
invoicing functionality. The support system guides
users as a business grows and develops, with access to a team for professional training and a support network, even after installation. The company continually
develops and enhances the software, learning from customers to continually adapting to the industry needs. It applies advance technology to improve efficiency, productivity and quality in the field of manufacturing and offers free, no-obligation demonstrations on site, remotely or at the company’s own premises.

Award-winning foundry has on-site support
the stand furniture is made of foam! Designing case inserts that are
cut to size for individual tool kits has been part of the business for over 20 years. As well as organising tools efficiently, inserts ensure missing items are easily identified. Durable custom foam ensures tools are secured in position and protected in transit. There is a range of returnable packaging and protective/presentation cases available. Sales presentation cases can be enhanced with the use of corporate colours and logos laser engraved with intricate detail in the foam.

For almost 20 years, NC Precision has built a reputation for supplying turned parts in small to medium batches, on time and at competitive prices. The CNC sliding head machining company has a modern machining facility in Chard, Somerset. It consists of a range of Citizen CNC sliding head turning centres enabling skilled and experienced engineers to machine components in all materials from 0.5 to 35mm in diameter. Simultaneous multi-axis and sub-spindle machining with driven tooling in a single set-up means close tolerances down to five microns are achievable even for the most complex components. A long standing member of the
BTMA, the company is accredited to ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. Inspection and quality control throughout all stages of manufacture is in place and using the
Aluminium die casting and machining specialist, MRT Castings, will be exhibiting for the 12th time at Southern Manufacturing. Having won the Queen’s Award for
Enterprise: International Trade 2016, the company’s reputation has spread worldwide. The Andover-based foundry now exports over 55% of its output. It will promote its innovative, complete component manufacturing solutions at the show. It claims to operate one of the most
technically-advanced gravity and high-pressure die casting foundries in the UK, supported by an in-house CNC machine shop, surface finishing, and electro-mechanical assembly
latest high tech metrology equipment ensures that the highest standards are maintained. Additional services such as
lapping, vibro-finishing, magnetic de-burring and ultrasonic cleaning are in place, ensuring parts are supplied with that extra special gleam and perfect finish. Management of specialist
