A GTMC survey
has found that business travellers are opting for large chain hotels over sharing-economy providers because of safety fears. Data showed that 49 per cent of travellers cited safety as a key factor when choosing a hotel, behind location and price.
ADDISON LEE
is teaming up with ground transport app Ubeeqo. The deal will allow Addison Lee to integrate its minicab and chauffeur services in London into Ubeeqo’s mobility app.
FLYBE is planning
expansion in Europe after making its first annual profit as a public company.
The regional carrier made a pre-tax profit of £2.7 million for the financial year to the end of March – compared with a loss of £23.6 million in the previous year.

Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG)
has announced the signing of Holiday Inn London Kensington. The 694-room franchised hotel will be rebranded from the independent Kensington Close property, one of the largest hotels in London, and is due to open as a Holiday Inn in December.
Ethiopian Airlines
is the first African airline to take delivery of an Airbus A350. The carrier has ordered 14, and is planning to make inflight wifi available on the aircraft.
HEATHROW EXPRESS
is increasing the cost of its peak- time ‘turn up and pay’ ticket price as it aims to incentivise off-peak travel. A standard one-way ticket has gone up from £22 to £24, and business class from £30 to £32.
