Kingfisher was slap bang in the middle of an industrial estate, and only has an average-looking website – however, I was welcomed into the upstairs showroom, despite dropping in completely on-spec.
There was not a great deal on display – it was above the workshop – but after
talking with the owner/
designer and seeing examples and samples of the products, I felt that this company could do a very good job of a new kitchen/bathroom/bedroom or storage spaces. Very open and realistic about pricing, they showed me the Infinite Kitchen Collection brochure to further illustrate colours etc and give me a very good run-down on the different
qualities, price levels and service available, including the bespoke aspects.
The owner inspired confidence but I felt their online presence could do with a refresh.

Yet another showroom hidden away in an unexpected corner behind a residential estate, and above a performing arts school. The kitchens and bedrooms were from Sheraton and Symphony and there was a large number of (website says 14) displays. It was maybe a little cramped in places, but you could get the
job done here by
extending choices, colours and finishes and consulting the brochures as well.
The assistant was very helpful indeed, explained it was a family business that had been going for
40 years.
Although the showroom could perhaps do with a bit of a refresh, I would be happy to entrust a kitchen or bathroom project to this clearly experienced team.

Another tricky place to find, hidden behind a residential area off a busy A-road. Still, got there in the end and would say it’s worth a visit for anyone looking for a mid-market kitchen or bathroom.
They have Jigsaw Kitchens by TKC, as well as Vitra, Hudson Reed and Kudos bathrooms. There was a good stock of display boards in the kitchen section and a nice selection furniture,
of which
bathroom would
definitely look impressive to anyone updating a bathroom that currently had no bathroom furniture.

This showroom was a clear winner, with great displays, and a helpful assistant who inspired confidence.
The assistant was also happy to demonstrate their presentation methods, discuss timescales and certification of building and installation works. They sell themselves as kitchen, bathroom and heating designers and specialists, and from what I could see and hear, they were the kind of business I would be happy to entrust a project to.
