SIMON ACRES GROUP HAYLEY FAGAN TREVOR SCOTT


KBB training and recruitment specialist Simon Acres Group has expanded its team to include two consultants. Hayley Fagan joins as a business consultant and Trevor Scott as a business development consultant. Fagan is said to be highly skilled in strategic business transformation and has been active in the KBB and merchant sector for over 25 years. Scott is the chief executive of the Rugby Fitted Kitchens [RFK] group. After nearly 27 years at the helm, he has stepped back from the day-to-day operational management of the business. Scott, who also used to write a regular column for kbbreview, has more than 40 years’ experience in the industry.


UFORM JOHN APPLEBY


Kitchen components manufacturer and distributor, Uform has appointed a new area sales manager for the South- West, as a way to grow its UK sales team. John Appleby has a wealth of knowledge, with 10 years’ experience working in the KBB industry. His recent positions include 10 years as national business development manager at Regency Group and his most recent position held was third- party retail regional manager for Porcelanosa. Uform chief executive Eamon Donnelly said: “We are delighted to welcome John to the Uform team. His extensive knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we continue working towards our growth strategy for the UK market. I’d like to wish John every success in his new position at Uform.”

ALISON MACKIE


Alison Mackie has been appointed as channel manager, kitchen retail trade (KRT), at Novy UK. As well as focusing on the south Midlands and South-East regions, Mackie will be overseeing Novy’s network of Premium Innovation Partners in the UK and Ireland. Mackie was formerly head of sales for the kitchen retail trade at Miele. She worked for the company for 10 years, starting out as manager of the London Experience Centre. Her career in the KBB sector started as a home economist an she later worked for Hotpoint as a regional trainer. Owain Harrison, country manager for Novy UK, said: “We are extremely pleased to be announcing Alison Mackie’s appointment as Novy UK’s channel manager, KRT.”

VIRTUAL WORLDS CHARLES APPLETON


Virtual Worlds has hired a new regional sales manager to cover north London and the Home Counties. Charles Appleton will be responsible for supporting the company’s customer base, as well as helping to grow the network. Appleton was previously a kitchen designer at Wren and so is said to understand the challenges faced by retailers in the KBB industry. He will be responsible for promoting Virtual Worlds’ products to new business, as well as visiting and helping existing clients. Appleton said: “I enjoy being out and about and sharing my knowledge to help businesses and offer creative solutions to problems. I am very excited about the future of Virtual Worlds and the role of virtual reality within the KBB industry.”
