Downtown is gaining a renowned NYC import with the arrival of the NoMad hotel, restaurant and bar, opening in the Giannini building at 7th Street and Olive Street. à 649 S Olive St (

Disneyland’s California Adventure is losing Tower of Terror but gaining a new attraction: Guardians of the Galaxy– Mission: BREAKOUT! The $800-million remodel of Century City’s Westfield Mall includes many new businesses, but we’re most excited for the long- awaited L.A. outpost of the food market Eataly. à 10250 Santa Monica Blvd (

CAN’T WAIT!
Expect L.A. Pride to refocus on community and activism in 2017, responding to #NotOurPride critics who accused the WeHo event of straying from its roots last year. à West Hollywood (323-969-8302, lapride .org). Early to mid-June 2017.
The Marciano Art Foundation’s museum is slated to open inside the former Scottish Rite Masonic Temple on Wilshire, with its first exhibition curated by Philipp Kaiser. à 4357 Wilshire Blvd. Opens spring 2017.
