Zhejiang Java Specialty Chemicals will exhibit its Javachem HG anti-scratch additive for PP and TPO compounds for automotive applications such as dashboards and door trims. Javachem HG is comprised of a siloxane polymer dispersed in PP that is chemically anchored to the polymer. The high molecular weight additive will not migrate to the surface, says the company, minimising surface stickiness and discol- ouration problems. It is also said to be effective at masking stress whitening marks. ❙

Coperion will launch its new SP treasure strand pelletiser, which has been developed exclusively for the Chinese market to offer both quality and an attractive price/performance balance. The SP 220 treasure strand pelletiser is designed to handle highly abrasive products. It has a working width of 220mm and can process up to 55 strands at throughput rates of up to 2,500 kg/h. The new model was developed jointly by Coperion Pelletizing Technology in Germany and Coperion Nanjing in China. The cutting chamber is designed and produced in Germany; the rest of the system is manufac-
tured locally in Nanjing. Key design features include good accessibility
for ease of cleaning, high quality cutting cham- ber, and a sound-insulated pellet discharge. The pelletiser can be equipped with an optional independent lower feed roll drive for infinite pellet length adjustment, while the upper feed
roll is available in hardened stainless steel and can be optionally driven independently. ❙

Right: ECON will show its underwater pelletisers
ECON will exhibit its underwater pelletising technology at Chinaplas. The company claims that its thermally insulated Ceconid die plate technology ensures that the melt in the die holes will never freeze, so reducing output fluctuations and raising operational efficiency. The die plate is also highly wear resistant.

The company will also show its water treatment and
pellet drying options. Key features include fast and unrestricted access to the pellet dryer for cleaning during material or colour changes and continuous filtration of the cooling water. ECON systems can be configured for production of high quality standard and micro pellets. ❙

Goettfert will present its latest melt indexer. The mi40 is designed to provide reliable results with minimal operator involvement. Controlled via a touchpanel, the mi40 features force-regulated pre-loading and force-controlled ejection at the end of the measurement and the test chamber is freely accessible to simplify cleaning. The unit can be equipped with an optional semi-automated piston-based barrel cleaning system that does not require a supply of compressed air. ❙

Maag will unveil its new Zhuli underwater pelletising system, which combines the company’s highest performing pelletiser, waterbox bypass, process water and drying technologies in a single integrated solution. The company will also show examples from its
existing product range. The Pearlo underwater pelletiser is able to produce spherical pellets at output rates of up to 36,000 kg/h; the CSC Series screenchanger uses a double piston design and allows fitting of five different filter-cavity shapes in one housing; the X6
Gear Pump
is claimed to provide improved volumetric efficiency and
pressure capabilities at reduced rpm and shear rates; and the Baoli S strand pelletiser offers optimised performance at competitive cost in critical strand pelletising applications. ❙
