Beer Fest Beatdown Pull on your liquid sweater at this festival with more than 100 beers from nearly 30 breweries. FREE Chicago Architecture Biennial Celebrate the city’s architecture with events presented by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and the Graham Foundation. The Greeks have landed


Want to dive a little deeper into Greek history than “Release the Kraken!”? A new exhibit shows that few cultures have made such considerable contributions to the modern world as that of the ancient Greeks.


The Field Museum’s latest show, “The Greeks,” assembles more than 500 artifacts on loan from 21 Greek institutions. The sculptures, pottery and weapons are arranged to tell the story of recognizable figures like Agamemnon and Pericles, as well as unnamed priestesses, warriors and citizens.


Can’t get enough of “The Greeks”? The exhibit’s copresenter, the National Hellenic Museum (333 S Halsted St), will host supplementary programming, including a reading of selections from Homer’s Odyssey, and a tasting of craft beers inspired by Greek brewing techniques.
