YOU Tank One of the pleasures of working in the Alumni Engagement Office is the opportunity to hear from both


graduates and students. Some of the most meaningful correspondence we receive comes from our students who have received scholarships. Here are excerpts from just a few of the letters we received this past year, detailing the impact of your generosity:


This was going to be the hardest semester for me financially. Because I received this award I did not have to make the choice to not finish. Thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart.

After 11 years of taking one or two classes at a time, I have finally reached the last year of working on my degree. It has been a long journey but my goal is in sight. This scholarship will assist me in completing that goal. I very much appreciate the support.

My goal is to continue my nonprofit career by working in communication and fundraising development for an organization focusing on advocacy, awareness and research for children and adults with developmental disabilities. As a mother of three children, two with special needs, a full-time employee and student, I have found motivation and strength I never thought possible as I work toward completing my degree.
