Welcome to the Summer issue of Tomorrow’s Retail Floors. As it is holiday season, for many retailers this can be a bit of a slow period in terms of sales. This is an ideal time to really concentrate on business strategy and trends for the busy stretch ahead and as always we hope this issue will help you to do exactly that.
As flooring traders are increasingly moving out of town to retail parks, it’s an unconventional move to open a store on a city centre high street. However, this is just what PC Carpets in Preston has done and we go In Store to catch up with them on page 18.
Flooring retailers on the high street might not be such an uncommon sight soon though, as we report on the launch of brand new flooring retailer, Tapi. Owned by former Carpetright director Martin Harris, there are plans to roll out 200 stores across the UK and even in shopping centres.
As well as all of this we bring you the most up-to-date trends in statement carpets and the most innovative and stylish product launches from the main flooring manufacturers.
