ALFORD TRAINER DICKIES


The Alford trainer is the first ESD rated trainer introduced by Dickies. It is suitable for people working in the electronics industry, as it provides a safe and controlled method of discharging static electricity that accumulates in the body.


It has a sturdy composite toe-cap to protect from crush hazards of up to 200 joules and a non-metallic anti- penetration midsole, which protects wearers from any unexpected sharps that might pierce the shoe. The uppers are a mix of Nubuck leather and a breathable Oxford mesh fabric which, along with the toe-cap, help to keep the weight of the product to a minimum.


The lightweight EVA and rubber outsole provides SRA slip resistance and heat resistance up to 300°C. The rubber toe guard on the outside of the Alford trainer protects from scuffing and other damage for extra durability.


The Alford trainer complies with EN20345 standard for protective footwear, while being casual and stylish enough to look good both on site and on the street.


CABLE SAFETYHOOK CABLESAFE


According to the National Dutch Bureau for Statistics, 21% of industrial accidents are a result of falls caused by tripping. Cablesafe’s Safetyhook is designed to minimise this risk by keeping cables and hoses out of harm’s way.


The hook’s simple S-shape design makes it quick and easy to suspend cables, wires and hoses during maintenance work, turnarounds or construction industrial works. It doesn’t conduct electricity or heat and is suitable for use in areas such as refineries, chemical plants and during electrical and nuclear installations.


Effective use of Cablesafe’s Safetyhooks removes the occurrence of hazardous working conditions caused by cables lying on floors and reduces the chance of those cables being damaged. A tidy work floor also adds to the professional image of a company and it is good practice when it comes to promoting internal safety culture.


Recently, Westmark, the developer of Cablesafe, has taken the product further by improving the design. In response to industry demand, Westmark has added a 15” hook with a wider opening for large cables to complete the range. Glow-in-the-dark hooks are also available to provide extra help in case of power black- outs or other emergency situations.
