AWARDS 2015 TOMORROW’S HEALTH & SAFETY
SAFETYDECK TARMAC BUILDING PRODUCTS
Tarmac Building Products’ SafetyDeck is a fall prevention system and lightweight access platform that protects site workers from falls from height. It can be adapted to suit most buildings irrespective of size or configuration and creates a temporary platform just below the working area.
The use of SafetyDeck increases the installation rate of precast flooring systems, timber joints or roof trusses, as it provides a full, safe and unobtrusive working area, giving maximum freedom of movement. It has also been designed to meet all current HSE working at height regulations.
Tarmac Building Products offers a full supply and erect service, with no requirement to store materials on site or use untrained personnel to erect the system. The company’s installers are all CSCS registered and the service has been awarded a Worksafe Contractor Membership Certificate by the Safety Management Advisory Service.
The standard system is 2.05m high and is suitable for storey heights up to 3.50m. Where used as a fall arrest system, the maximum fall height is 1.45m.
SGV KÄRCHER
Kärcher’s SGV features innovations never before seen on a steam vacuum. The unique self-cleaning system automatically removes deposits inside the machine itself after every use, significantly prolonging its life and reducing problems caused by fat and grease build-up inside the machine. The detergent function is ideal for deep cleaning of large areas like floors, or where a shine or fragrance is preferred.
The SGV’s small footprint, high handle and large wheels make it easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces. A 4m suction hose and water/ steam and vacuum controls built into the handle often mean that the machine can be left outside the room being cleaned.
Operating an SGV is intuitive, with no need for special training. The accessories are integrated directly in or on the machine – protected against loss and dirt, well organised, and always within reach. The tanks for fresh water and detergent are readily accessible and easy to carry for convenient filling and emptying.
The eco!efficiency mode lowers power consumption to reduce operating costs, in turn reducing the noise level to 64 dB(A): ideal for use in noise-sensitive areas such as retirement homes and care facilities, canteens and hotels.
