NEWSFLASH AND THE WINNER IS...
After three months of voting, the results are in and we’re delighted to bring you the winners of the Tomorrow’s Health & Safety Awards 2016.
In the cold, dark days of January, we unveiled the 50 finalists in the Tomorrow’s Health & Safety Awards. It was a shortlist of the products that wowed the industry in 2015 with their innovative approach to keeping the global workforce healthy and safe. From clothing and footwear, to disinfectants and software, our list covered a broad spectrum of services but it was down to you, our readers, to pick our winners.
From the day voting opened, we kept a close eye on the voting figures, trying to predict who would make the top three, but it was such a close race that it was an impossible feat. More than 1,500 of you had your say and now we are delighted to reveal the products that came in first, second and third place.

1ST PLACE SkySiren® PCS™ (Pre-Crush Sensing) from Nationwide Platforms
Our first place trophy goes to Nationwide Platforms for its innovative SkySiren®, designed to alert colleagues to an entrapment incident, whilst simultaneously stopping the motion of the platform.

As the first system in the UK to offer a double protection barrier against trapping and crushing incidents, the Pre-Crush Sensing product represents a major step forward in powered access safety, making Nationwide a worthy first place winner in the THS Awards 2016.
Following the win, Ed Darwin, from Nationwide commented: “We’re extremely proud to win the Tomorrow’s Health and Safety Award. It is a great achievement and a testament to our continued commitment to improving working at height safety.
