WHAT’S NEW? A LONG-TERM SOLUTION FOR AN

OLD AGE FLOORING PROBLEM There are a huge number of floor seals available on the UK market that use ceramic as a component, however, WEARMAX is the only seal where you actually tread on the ceramics themselves and is backed up by a 10 year warranty.

WEARMAX is a seal where ceramics swim across the entire surface of the floor, protecting the final finish - ensuring flooring maintains its looks and performance. Because of the way the final finish of matt, satin or gloss sits on the surface of the ceramics and because ceramics have a hardness of 9.2, the seal maintains its appearance and slip resistance even in heavy footfall.

WEARMAX is smooth to touch and exceptionally easy to clean by simply using a Microfibre mopping system and yet has a slip resistance of 40+ BS7976 - way above the minimum requirements of the British Standard of 36 in the wet. Whilst some floor seals promise a lifetime slip resistance as long as you re-apply frequently, with WEARMAX this labour intensive operation is unnecessary as the product is warranted for ‘wear through’ for up to 10 years.

To facilities managers and cost conscious organisations such as the healthcare sector this means reduced organisational requirements, reduced labour costs, chemical and accessory costs and significant reduction in interruption to the day to day running of busy working environments.

Howard O’Brien, Managing Director Traffik UK, “the benefits of the WEARMAX ceramic floor seal system are broad and the opportunities endless. Whether installing a new floor and looking to protect it for longevity and easy maintenance, looking to extend the life of an existing floor or looking to enhance a tired floor coming to the end of its lifecycle - WEARMAX is the answer. Most importantly the system comes with up to a 10 year warranty - a first for hard floor sealants in the UK.

“Traffik as the exclusive UK and Eire distributors can now provide a long term solution for an age old problem of seals that fail too quickly or look bad in a very short time – a way to avoid cost floor replacement.”

KEY MANAGEMENT REDUCES

SECURITY RISK FOR SMALL BUSINESSES Traka, the key and asset management specialist, has launched Traka21, an innovative plug and play system that provides small- to-medium-sized businesses with the very latest intelligent key management solutions.

The system has been designed to provide a simple, efficient and affordable method of managing keys and helps users become accountable for their business assets. Traka21 helps trace and account for every single key or keyset by individually locking them in place, ensuring that critical business operations are never jeopardised.

Using Traka’s same proven software and engineering as in the large-scale systems often used for Universities, hospitals and prisons, Traka21 is purpose designed to overcome some of the challenges smaller businesses or private properties face with key management and control.

Traka21 is an intelligent yet easy-to-use system for tracing and managing up to 21 keys or keysets, with access only granted to those with keys assigned to them via a PIN. This can help to track accountability for assets that could otherwise be vandalised or stolen, such as equipment, machinery cabinets and vehicles.

Traka21 authorises, secures and monitors all of your keys, automatically controlling and recording when a key is used, and by whom. This information is made available either through the cabinet’s display or by export on a USB pen drive.

Tanveer Choudhry, Global Marketing Manager for Traka, said: “Even within smaller businesses, commercial security is growing in sophistication. However, the management of business-critical keys remains a weak link. Keys are often hung on a hook in open view or kept in a drawer. Traka21 is an ideal stand-alone system for small businesses or private properties looking for a simple, easy-to-use system for managing keys while staying up to date with the latest technology.”
