Talentum detectors are used in sensitive or dangerous environments to detect fires even before there is any smoke produced, or where smokeless fires may occur. By watching for and recognising the non-visible ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) signatures of the flames themselves, the Talentum range does not need smoke to know if there is a fire. They can detect flames through steam and smoke and with an Air Purge Kit, dust as well. They are also immune to the effects of wind.
Designed to give the highest immunity to false flame sources both indoors or out, the Talentum UV/ Dual IR range has an internal self-test source that checks the detector’s operation when remotely instructed.
Talentum detectors are installed in countless industrial installations around the world and have also been selected to protect the Bloodhound supersonic car, set to break the world land-speed record in the coming years.
