TOMORROW’S FM AWARDS: AND THE WINNER IS...
The Tomorrow’s FM Awards 2016 results are in, with hundreds of Tweets and a record number of votes cast, the competition this year was intense throughout. The trophies are being prepared for the victors; meanwhile, we caught up with the first, second and third placed companies, to get their reactions.
1ST PLACE
KATRIN DISPENSER RANGE BY METSÄ TISSUE Metsä Tissue introduced the new Katrin Inclusive Range of
Dispensers, to enhance ease of use for public washrooms. This new range takes into account the needs of a wide selection of users, including children, the elderly and those who are visually impaired or have physical disabilities.
With Katrin Inclusive Dispensers, the paper is easy to remove, and can be pulled out with one hand. Contrasting colours make the dispenser openings easy to see. Large “push faces” are effortless to use, and braille text also helps the visually impaired. The range comes in attractive black or white designs, with contrasting colours which also assist the visually impaired in everyday life.
Dispensers that open upwards make it much easier for people of all heights to fill and simple graphical signage shows how they should be used and maintained. All of the dispensers are easy to disassemble and are made from durable ABS and polypropylene plastic, both of which are totally reusable.
The Katrin Inclusive Dispenser range consists of 10 dispenser types, including new models for the Katrin System Hand Towel and Toilet Roll range. The extended range includes matching bins as well as well as elegant dispensers for facial tissues.
Henrik den Ouden Runshaug, Project Engineer for the Katrin Dispenser range said: “In order to build a great and “inclusive” hygiene experience for everybody, we invested a lot of time and effort to fully understand the perspective of real users of these dispensers. That’s why it is especially pleasing to have won this award, which was voted for by the very people that we actually designed the range for”.
